Post due by Sunday, April 27th by midnight. Happy preparing!
In this week's blog post, I am asking something fairly simple and potentially helpful. How will you prepare for the AP Exam in AP English Language? Be as specific as possible by listing in either bullet points or in paragraphs what you will do and how often, when, etc. Think about particular readings/articles you will revisit and why.

This is always tricky trying to study for multiple exams at once! But I will say I am most confident about this exam.

Well I technically still have an AP Lang review book that I was supposed to return a week and a half ago. I will try to formally check the book out because I totally forgot about it. Honestly, I am more worried about studying for other AP lang exams. I am most comfortable and confident going into the AP lang exam than my other exams, but I still will study for the AP Lang exam. Of the FREs, I really feel less confident with the Argumentation and the Synthesis paper. Therefore:

I agree with Josh. I am definitely most confident about the AP Lang exam compared to my other classes. I honestly think we are well prepared, so only some brushing up is necessary. In order to score well on the exam, I plan to:

One cannot "cram" for the AP Language exam. So I'm just going to do what I normally do -- eat some hashbrowns and get a venti caramel flan latte at Starbucks. Also, I'm going to sleep at 10 PM the night before (as opposed to 11). The morning of, I'm going to hug Ms. Kovel and channel the rhetoric gods (aka Jay Heinrichs) for support.

Like what others have mentioned above, you cannot really cram and memorize everything to do good on the exam, but I feel confident about it because I have learned so much all throughout the semester and all the practice that we did in class alleviated my nervousness and anxiety.

Like everyone else, I will be taking more than one AP exam, but I am most confident about this one. Of course it will not be anything like the EOCT, but I feel like I have learned so much and have grown with all of my practicing that I will do well. I think we all are more prepared for the English Lang. and Comp. AP Exam than we think. In independent preparation for the exam, I will be sure to:

I feel extremely prepared for the AP exam! I enjoy writing and reading a lot more since I've met Ms. Kovel, and I strive to make her proud. That'll be in the back of my head during the test.

To start, this has been my favorite class. Throughout this semester, my writing skills definetly improved and I feel confident about this exam. Some things I will do to prepare for the test includes:
Spell check

Contrary to my beliefs at the semester’s start, I feel incredibly confident for the AP Lang exam. The multiple choice section worried me the most, but I have improved. Therefore I will continue practicing the multiple choice portion from the Lang practice book. I plan on taking the timed practice test and FREs to get a feel for the environment I will be in. Also, I will revisit rhetorical analysis and synthesis FREs to refresh my memory. I am also revisiting important vocabulary words because vocabulary usually confuses me. I will memorize 5-6 pieces (titles and authors) we read in and outside of class to pull from during the argument FRE.

I don't feel stressed out about this exam, which is a first. Instead, I feel well prepared! I can honestly say I have never felt prepared for an AP exam before until this class.

To prepare for the exam I will force myself to study and keep my calm. I'll definitely use the tips we took notes over, like studying from the kovelpedia. I'll probably go over the sheet and remember some more titles and authors and I'm DEFINITELY going to study lots and lots of vocab. Also, do some practice things, like the timed writing. And look at the tips for multiple choice questions. Oh yeah, and memorize different relationship words and stuff. I'll probably do one or two of these every night before I sleep because it'll give me a higher chance of remembering if I sleep on it.

This will be my first ever AP exam. I'm not excited, but I think we are all very well prepared for this exam. Don't even get me started on APUSH though (God help us) -_-
