For this week's blog post, list in three points (one per author) what the argument the author makes is in each piece (Freakonomics as just one point, the Slate debate as the other two) and how each author crafts them.
Then, make an argument for which author stands the best chance at "winning" over a crowd (his or her readers) and why.
Once you have posted, you are not finished. Engage in a conversation with others about the texts in the comments section, questioning your peers about their choices, arguing perhaps about the details, and complimenting them on their awesome analysis of the author's stylistic choices that help them make or break an argument.
Note: Due to server maintenance issues and commenting problems, Weebly support claims there may be some issues posting during the next few hours. Because of this inconvenience, I will be delaying our due date for this week's blog posting to Sunday night (3/2) at midnight, just to play it safe.
